Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed October 22, 2026
Martial arts schools are for everyone, and so is the software that runs them. School owners, instructors, front-desk staff, students and parents should all be able to use MartialCRM™, whether they use a keyboard, a screen reader, a phone, larger text or no mouse at all.
Our standard
MartialCRM™ and this website meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the current international standard for accessible websites and web applications.
Standards in other countries
Accessibility laws around the world point to WCAG. WCAG 2.2 at Level AA includes everything WCAG 2.1 and 2.0 ask for at that level, so MartialCRM™ and this website also meet the web accessibility standard each of these refers to:
- European Union. EN 301 549, the standard behind the European Accessibility Act and the Web Accessibility Directive. We meet its requirements for web content: WCAG 2.1 AA in the edition the EU cites today (V3.2.1), and WCAG 2.2 AA in the edition published in September 2026 (V4.1.1).
- United Kingdom. The Equality Act 2010 and the public sector accessibility regulations. UK government guidance asks for WCAG 2.2 AA.
- United States. The Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (WCAG 2.0 AA), and the ADA Title II rule for state and local governments (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Canada. The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (WCAG 2.0 AA), and CAN/ASC-EN 301 549:2024 under the Accessible Canada Act (WCAG 2.1 AA for web content).
- Australia. The Disability Discrimination Act 1992, for which the Australian Human Rights Commission's guidance points to WCAG.
- New Zealand. The government's Web Accessibility Standard 1.2 (WCAG 2.2 AA).
- Worldwide. ISO/IEC 40500:2025, which is WCAG 2.2 adopted as an international standard.
EN 301 549 also covers documents you download. PDFs saved from Chrome, Edge or Firefox are tagged; PDFs saved from Safari are not, as listed under What we know falls short. Whether a particular law applies to a school or organization depends on where it is and what it does. This page describes what MartialCRM™ meets; it is not legal advice.
What this covers
- This website, martialcrm.com.
- The MartialCRM™ app: every staff page, signing in and two-step verification, and the check-in kiosk.
- The pages a school publishes for families: its inquiry form, its class schedule and online booking, changing or cancelling a booking, and unsubscribing from its emails.
- The campaign and booking emails MartialCRM™ sends for a school.
Built for phones and personal settings
- The app works on iPhone and Android phones, with a compact header and menu, lists that fit the screen, and fields that do not make the page zoom when you tap them.
- Each staff member can choose a larger text size, up to 150%, and a dark theme or one that matches their device, under Your settings > Appearance.
- Everything works from the keyboard, including reordering belts and sorting tables.
- Two minutes before the app signs you out for inactivity, it warns you and lets you stay signed in.
- The tutorial videos have captions.
How we test
We check every page automatically with axe-core, an industry-standard accessibility testing tool, on a computer, an iPhone and an Android phone, and again with the largest text size and with the dark theme. The website also checks every page each time it is built, and the build stops if it finds a problem. The full check runs again every month alongside our security test.
Software cannot catch everything, so we also test by hand: with the keyboard alone, with screen readers (Orca on a computer and TalkBack on Android), and on real phones (Safari on an iPhone, and Chrome and Samsung Internet on Android).
What we know falls short
- PDFs saved in Safari. Save as PDF uses your browser's own print window. Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox save a tagged PDF, which a screen reader can follow by its headings and tables. Safari, including on iPhone, saves it without those tags. If you use Safari, the same report works with a screen reader on screen, and as an Excel or CSV file.
- Content a school adds. Each school writes its own emails and pages and adds its own images and documents. MartialCRM™ asks for a description of each image in a campaign email and keeps a school's colors readable, but what a school writes is up to the school.
- Services from other companies. A few parts of MartialCRM™ come from other providers: the security check on contact, inquiry and booking forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), the tutorial video player (YouTube), and the Google and Microsoft sign-in pages used to connect a mailbox. We cannot change how they work, but tell us if one gets in your way and we will help.
Tell us about a problem
If anything on this website or in MartialCRM™ is hard to use, please tell us through our contact form and choose "Something else", or "Get help as a customer" if your school uses MartialCRM™. Let us know which page, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use. We will reply, work on a fix, and help you get the information another way in the meantime.
If you are a student or parent and the problem is on your school's own form or schedule, you can tell your school or us; we will work with your school to fix it.
